Well in a surprise turn of events I am thrilled to announce my fifth studio album "Greetings From Lake St Clair". Once again recorded at the magnificent studio La Cueva in Tyagarah NSW with Jordan Power recording and mixing.

A one off album launch show at the Star Court Theatre in Lismore is on Thursday November 10. Doors at 7pm.

This show will feature the full album band and special guests.

Ash and Sara were thrilled to be invited by Folk Music Canada to write as song with stunning singer/songwriter Jenn Grant. In these strange Covid times it was all done remotely with the three songwriters communicating ideas using zoom. The song titled "Sons and Daughters" has now been released on all digital platforms so you can have a listen now. 

We had a fabulous day at The Rosebank Store with a talented crew of people making this clip. We laughed, ate beautiful food, caught up with old friends and despite not being totally comfortable in front of the camera we even enjoyed ourselves. "Guard Down" is from our "Going Out Clothes" EP. Im still wondering how the hell I ended up on the banjo! One day I will learn how to play it properly. In the meantime here is this..........

Winter feels like it has finally arrived here in northern NSW. Getting cosy by the fire is my favourite thing about this season. "Singing Farmer Organics" is in full swing. We have a market stall every Tuesday morning at the Lismore Organic Market ands we've been loving meeting our farming community and our customers. 

Musically the year has been spent working with Ash Bell on our duo project. We've done lots of shows in support of our EP "Going Out Clothes" and have just started writing some new material and testing it out at shows.

How beautiful is Autumn. Loving the cooler nights and mornings. The shows in Tasmania were incredible. Michael and i were shown such a great time. I even managed to get a quick visit to MONA in. Plans are afoot to head back there early next year. 

I have just received the master of a new project ive been working on and i cant wait to share it with you. Give me another week or two and ill let you know more.

Well 2017 seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. I loved having a new album "Wild and Unknown" to work and am really proud of the album itself and the fabulous shows Michael Turner and i were able to take around the country. One state we didnt get to was Tasmania. To remedy that we have a little run of shows in late March (check DATES). Also have an exciting side project to announce in early Feb. Keep checking in or even better, sign up on my mailing list and you will be the first to know.

Michael Turner and i have been having a fabulous time touring around and playing the songs from "Wild and Unknown". Thank you so much to everyone who have come out to see us so far. We hit South Australia this coming weekend. And the best bit is we will be sharing the bill with my dear friends "The Yearlings" for both the Mt Compass show and our Adelaide show. I cannot wait!!!

So 2017 is already moving along at a cracking pace, i can hardly keep up. I am literally watching the grass grow on our 15 acres, every spare minute seems to be spent weeding. whipper snippering and mowing. All of which means the album release has been put off until May 10. Dont worry though, sign up for the mailing list and you will be able to hear a preview of tracks over the next couple of months. Havent been playing as often as i normally do and like to do but am currently booking the album tour. I spent a few days in a little beach shack at beautiful Iluka and finished writing my next collection of songs! While trying to figure out how to record them, i was the special guest at a local regular gig and played my new songs to Michael Turner (Wild Pumpkins at Midnight, The Drift, Spikey). He loved them and believed that Nick Didia (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Powderfinger, Kasey Chambers) was the guy to produce this next album. Somehow he managed to make that happen and about 5 weeks after playing that gig with Michael, we found ourselves at "La Cueva", the stunning studio co owned by Nick Didia and Bernard Fanning that overlooks Byron Bay making my 4th album! I cant quite believe it is done. There is lots of behind the scenes stuff that i need to get cracking on before i can release the album so at this stage release date is March 11 2017. Will keep you updated as things progress but i am so excited for you all to hear this new work. Bit of a departure from my previous albums. Make sure you are on the mailing list so i can let you know when its out. I cant wait! xx
